1. Who we are

SOHOFRANCHISE (sohofranchise.com) is an independent travel publication run by an individual, not a company. In this policy, “we” means that individual publisher. Privacy questions: samcheonghaus@gmail.com

2. What we collect

• Contact & tip form: your name, email address and message. These are delivered through the form service Formspree, or received directly by email.
• Advertising enquiry form: business name, contact name, email address, business category and message. These are stored in this website’s database.
• Collected automatically: server logs used for security and troubleshooting (IP address, browser details, pages visited, time of visit), and cookies used to serve advertising.

We don’t ask for sensitive information, and we never sell personal information.

3. How we use it

• To reply to your messages and check corrections you send us
• To review and respond to advertising and partnership enquiries
• To keep the site secure and to show advertising

4. How long we keep it

Messages and advertising enquiries are deleted one year after our last correspondence, unless an ongoing partnership or the law requires us to keep them longer. Server logs follow our hosting provider’s retention schedule.

5. Third-party services

• Formspree — delivers contact-form messages.
• Google AdSense — shows ads. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. See how Google uses information in ads, or turn off personalised ads in Google Ad Settings.
• YouTube — when you play an embedded video, YouTube’s (Google’s) policies apply.

These services may process information outside Korea, mainly in the United States.

6. Cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can still read every story with cookies turned off.

7. Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or ask us to stop using it. Email samcheonghaus@gmail.com and we’ll respond promptly, normally within 10 days.

8. Children

This site is not directed at children under 14, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information.
